As part of the supporting materials for our Ezoic Review, we’ve put together a quick reference guide for new publishers on the Ezoic platform. Having gone through the process ourselves (a few times – eight at this point, with more conversions in Q1 ’20), we’ve assembled some materials covering the key points.
Ezoic – WebSite Qualification
Before you migrate onto their platform, you will need to get Ezoic to approve your site.
Here’s a summary of what they’ve currently stated are the Ezoic requirements.
Ezoic Ad Tester 101
Assuming you’ve gotten through the approval process, lets discuss how you manage the integration and set up the Ezoic Ad Tester.
While Ezoic has multiple integration options, the recommended one for new publishers is to use DNS level integration. This involves you pointing your domain name servers at Ezoic’s system, allowing them to serve your content through their CDN (Content Delivery Network). This is a global network of servers optimized to push content out quickly. This has the effect of speeding up page load speeds for most websites. It also enables them to load the ad placeholders directly onto the page on their end (quickly).
(They recently announced a site speed accelerator we will review in a future guide).
Here’s an overview of how the Ezoic Ad Tester Works.
Market Trends – Ad Rate Index
Ezoic publishes a free index of ad rates on their platform.
